North of Aix-en-Provence, Château de Fonscolombe occupies an 18th-century listed estate surrounded by vineyards, rare trees and ten hectares of parkland. Fifty rooms and suites are divided between the château and adjoining buildings, with frescoes, patterned fabrics and antiques giving way to cleaner contemporary interiors in the newer wing. La Table de l’Orangerie opens towards the gardens, while the estate also contains a spa, heated outdoor pool, chapel and kitchen garden. The formal stone façade faces fountains and lawns beneath centuries-old plane trees.
