On Kourouta beach in the western Peloponnese, Dexamenes Seaside Hotel converts an abandoned 1920s wine factory into a precise industrial retreat. Former concrete storage tanks now form the guest rooms, retaining thick walls, exposed surfaces and the linear geometry of the original site; large sliding windows open each room directly towards the sea or courtyard, while restrained timber and metal details soften the raw structure. A glass pavilion houses the restaurant and bar, and the old loading platforms, tanks and beachfront deck remain central to the property’s architectural identity.
