GAIA Riverlodge is perched above the Five Sisters Waterfalls within Belize’s Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. Thatched cabanas and villas are built from local timber and stone, with screened verandas and interiors kept deliberately free from televisions and unnecessary technology. Freshwater pools beneath the falls provide the most distinctive place to swim, while the restaurant, organic garden and open-air spa use the surrounding forest as part of the experience. Guided walks and excursions extend towards caves and Maya sites. From the main lodge, paths descend through dense vegetation towards the river and the sequence of cascades below.
