On the coast of Iki Island, Iki Retreat by Onko Chishin looks across the water from a quiet site in northern Nagasaki Prefecture. Rooms combine Japanese joinery, tatami, timber and large windows, with private open-air baths drawing on the island’s hot springs. GEN restaurant serves multi-course Japanese cuisine centred on local seafood, Iki beef and seasonal produce, making dining a central part of the stay. The spa and baths remain understated.
