On Barcelona’s Port Vell, Serras Barcelona occupies a restored nineteenth-century building whose former studio hosted a young Pablo Picasso in 1896. The 28 rooms and suites pair high ceilings, balconies and monochrome detailing with views towards the marina or Gothic Quarter streets. Informal serves Catalan-Mediterranean cooking at ground level, while Le Nine bar and the rooftop terrace provide more relaxed settings. Above the restored stone façade, a small pool and planted deck look across the harbour cranes, palms and masts lining Passeig de Colom.
