Across Medhufaru’s wide lagoon, Soneva Jani is organised along curving timber jetties that lead to expansive overwater villas and quieter island residences. Many villas pair private pools with retractable bedroom roofs, and selected categories add slides dropping directly into the lagoon. Dining rooms, an overwater cinema, observatory, The Den and Soneva Soul are spread between Chapter One and Chapter Two, encouraging movement across the resort by bicycle or boat. The architecture remains deliberately open to sea and sky, with the jetties drawing long lines over luminous shallow water.
