Gingerland
,
Saint Kitts and Nevis
On the slopes above Gingerland, Golden Rock Inn spreads across a historic estate beneath Nevis Peak, with tropical gardens climbing through the remains of an early 19th-century sugar property. Eleven rooms are dispersed among cottages and the restored two-storey Sugar Mill, using stone walls, bright textiles and private terraces to contrast with the surrounding greenery. The Rocks serves Caribbean cooking on open-air terraces beside reflecting ponds, while a spring-fed swimming pool sits deeper within the gardens. Palms, cycads, lava boulders and winding paths shape the 40 cultivated acres around the rooms, with views extending towards Antigua and Montserrat.
