River Longships use efficient layouts and an indoor-outdoor Aquavit Terrace; ocean vessels pair veranda accommodation with light-filled public rooms, a Nordic spa and several dining settings; expedition ships add laboratories, expedition equipment and sheltered access to the water. Lectures, destination briefings and an included excursion in most ports give the days a clear sense of place, while service is polished without becoming formal. The expedition programme is the most active and technically specialised part of the range, so it should not be treated as interchangeable with a European river sailing.
