On the forested shores of Ago Bay in Ise-Shima National Park, Amanemu draws on the low rooflines and natural materials of traditional Japanese coastal architecture. Suites and villas sit apart among gardens and woodland, each with a private onsen bath and terrace, while the restaurant follows the waterline through broad windows and menus centred on seasonal produce and seafood. A 2,000-square-metre spa gathers treatment suites, private bathing pavilions, a thermal-spring garden, hydrotherapy facilities and an outdoor yoga deck around the region’s mineral-rich waters.
