Facing Borobudur across the Kedu Plain, Amanjiwo is arranged around a monumental limestone rotunda whose form echoes the ninth-century temple beyond. Colonnades, courtyards and volcanic-stone walls lead to suites with four-poster beds, deep terraces and views of rice fields or the surrounding Menoreh Hills; pool suites add private walled gardens. The main restaurant occupies the circular pavilion, while a separate forty-metre pool is set among palms and farmland. Temple visits, village walks and Javanese dining unfold against a landscape framed by Mount Merapi and Mount Sumbing.
