In Québec City’s Old Port, Auberge Saint-Antoine incorporates archaeological finds and historic stonework into a series of restored buildings facing the St Lawrence River. Contemporary rooms and suites soften the heritage setting with clean-lined furniture, heated bathroom floors and, in selected categories, fireplaces or private terraces. Artefacts discovered beneath the site appear throughout the public rooms, giving the hotel a character rooted in the city rather than applied as decoration. Chez Muffy serves seasonal cooking shaped by produce from the hotel’s farm on Île d’Orléans, while Bar Artefact occupies a warm, layered interior beside the lobby.
