On the Castello waterfront, Ca' di Dio occupies a centuries-old building facing the Venetian lagoon and the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Patricia Urquiola’s interiors reinterpret local craft through Murano glass, terrazzo, timber and softly coloured textiles, while rooms and suites frame canals, courtyards or open water. VERO restaurant extends into a planted internal courtyard, and Alchemia Bar provides a more intimate setting beneath sculptural lighting. A private landing allows arrival by boat, placing the long pale façade, neighbouring bridge and broad sweep of the Riva at the centre of the hotel’s Venetian identity.
