At the edge of Killarney National Park, Cahernane House Hotel is approached along a tree-lined drive beneath the mountains of County Kerry. The Victorian manor retains carved staircases, fireplaces, decorative ceilings and richly individual bedrooms, complemented by newer rooms in the garden wing. Herbert’s Brasserie occupies the former drawing rooms, while the Cellar Bar provides a more informal setting below. Lawns, mature woodland and quiet terraces surround the house, with the Purple Mountain range and park landscape visible beyond the estate’s stone walls and formal façade.
