On Hainan's southern coast, Capella Tufu Bay extends through landscaped gardens beside the South China Sea. Jean-Michel Gathy and Bill Bensley shaped the resort around stories of the Maritime Silk Road, using courtyards, water features and references to trading cultures across Asia. Its 190 rooms, suites and villas include private terraces, while selected villas add individual pools and direct garden or beach access. Lan Ting serves Chinese cuisine, and further restaurants cover international food and informal meals near the water. Auriga Spa, several swimming pools, an exercise room and supervised children's activities support longer stays. The broad beach runs directly along the resort's seaward edge.
