The ruins of an eight-hundred-year-old castle stand beside Castlemartyr Resort’s eighteenth-century manor house in the East Cork countryside. Across the bedrooms and suites, classical fabrics, marble bathrooms and garden views distinguish the historic rooms from the more contemporary wing. Terre occupies the manor with an intimate tasting menu, while Canopy, Knights Bar and the village pub provide less formal alternatives. The 220-acre estate also contains an inland-links golf course, spa, indoor pool and woodland trails, with the Kiltha River and formal parterre gardens running through the grounds.
