At 2,112 metres above Crans-Montana, Chetzeron transforms a former cable-car station into a remote mountain hotel reached from the ski slopes. Local stone, exposed concrete and broad panes of glass preserve the building's utilitarian character while opening its 19 rooms to the surrounding peaks. Interiors are minimal and warm, with timber and wool softening the original structure. The restaurant and après-ski bar look across the Rhône Valley, joined by a compact wellness area for time off the mountain. In winter the hotel is ski-in, ski-out; in summer, footpaths approach the same stone building across high alpine pasture.
