Fljót, Tröllaskagi
,
Iceland
Eleven Deplar Farm is set in the remote Fljót valley on Iceland’s Tröllaskagi peninsula, where a former sheep farm has been transformed into a small lodge surrounded by mountains. Thirteen bedrooms combine timber, stone and tactile textiles with broad windows towards the valley, keeping the interiors warm without competing with the landscape. An indoor-outdoor geothermal pool, spa facilities and relaxed bar and lounge spaces shape time back at the property between guided adventures. The turf-roofed buildings sit low against the surrounding slopes, with snowfields, rivers and changing northern light visible from the lodge throughout the year.
