In a broad valley outside Artà, Es Racó d’Artà is conceived as a Mallorcan hamlet of stone buildings, courtyards and agricultural terraces. Rooms, suites and independent casas use lime plaster, timber, linen and local craft, with interiors kept deliberately quiet against the surrounding mountains. The restaurant draws heavily on produce from the estate. An outdoor pool, spa, hammam and spaces for yoga are integrated into the landscape. Olive groves, kitchen gardens and dry-stone walls connect the contemporary architecture to the working rural character of north-eastern Mallorca.
