Within Kenting National Park, Gloria Manor occupies a forested hillside overlooking Taiwan’s southern coastline and the Taiwan Strait. The building retains the restrained modernist lines of a former presidential guesthouse, with rooms using timber, local stone and broad windows to frame sea or mountain views. Mu Restaurant focuses on produce from nearby farms and fishing communities. The outdoor pool and gardens sit against dense subtropical vegetation. Guided nature activities lead into the surrounding park, while forest, coastline and the Taiwan Strait remain visible from the gardens and pool.
