Ham Yard Hotel is built around its own courtyard in Soho, creating an unexpectedly self-contained address just off Great Windmill Street. Kit Kemp’s interiors move confidently through colour, pattern, contemporary art and individually selected furniture, with every one of the 91 bedrooms and suites given its own scheme. The courtyard-facing restaurant and bar lead into an orangery, library, drawing room and rooftop garden. Beneath them sit a theatre, Soholistic treatment rooms and the Croc bowling alley. It is a notably layered property: bright public rooms above, social spaces around the courtyard and an entire set of facilities extending beneath central Soho.
