John Nash’s Regency architecture provides a restrained shell for one of Firmdale’s more exuberant London interiors at Haymarket Hotel. Kit Kemp has designed all 53 rooms and suites individually, pairing bold fabrics, original art and bespoke furniture with comfortable proportions. Brumus Bar & Restaurant opens directly onto the street. The Drawing Room, Library and Conservatory sit farther inside, away from the public flow. Below ground, an 18-metre swimming pool sits beneath a dramatic lighting installation, joined by treatment rooms and a gym. Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and several West End theatres are all only a few minutes from the entrance.
