A late-nineteenth-century neoclassical residence provides the framework for Hotel del Casco in historic San Isidro, north of central Buenos Aires. Careful restoration has retained mosaic floors, arches and the glazed central courtyard, around which twelve rooms in the main house are arranged. Eight Garden Suites extend into the grounds, while antique furniture and traditional detailing continue the scale and character of the original palazzo. Established gardens surround the outdoor swimming pool and terraces, complemented by a health club and sauna. San Isidro Cathedral stands nearby, with the hotel’s garden walls, mature planting and residential streets creating a markedly different setting from central Buenos Aires.
