On Roatan's south-west coast between West Bay and West End, Ibagari Boutique Hotel opens directly onto the Caribbean, with its low-rise buildings set among palms, gardens and waterfront decks. Suites, villas and residences combine natural timber, local artwork and wide glass openings, many extending onto private terraces facing the sea. Luna Muna is the principal restaurant and bar, while a swimming pool, shaded lounging areas and the on-site Duna Divers centre keep much of the hotel focused on the water. Timber decks and open-air spaces run along the shoreline, with the reef and changing colour of the Caribbean visible beyond the gardens.
