On Howard Street in SoMa, InterContinental San Francisco rises beside Moscone Center and within a short walk of Yerba Buena Gardens and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Full height glazing frames the rooms and suites, with downtown or bay outlooks varying by height and orientation. Bistro 888 now serves Californian influenced food from breakfast through dinner, while Bar 888 specialises in cocktails and a large selection of grappa. The former Luce restaurant is no longer operating. Leisure facilities include a heated indoor lap pool, whirlpool and fitness centre. Powell Street station, Union Square and Oracle Park are all accessible from the hotel, although the surrounding blocks retain the business led character of SoMa.
