Kura Boutique Hotel is an adults-only, eight-suite retreat set high in the rainforest above Uvita, overlooking the Pacific and Marino Ballena’s Whale’s Tail. The tropical-minimalist suites combine glass, stone and timber with open-plan layouts, king beds, large terraces and rainforest-facing showers; four include private plunge pools. The ocean-view restaurant works with local, organic and responsibly sourced ingredients, while the infinity pool, Diablitos Bar, Sky Lounge and Spa Shá occupy different levels of the hillside design. At 1,100 feet above sea level, the hotel remains removed from the town below, with a daily transfer connecting guests to Uvita’s beaches.
