L'Hotel is a theatrical Left Bank retreat on a quiet street in Saint-Germain-des-Pres, best known as the final home of Oscar Wilde. Jacques Garcia’s interiors use fabric-lined walls, rich colour, antiques and classical references across a compact collection of individually styled rooms. The intimate bar and reception salons display artwork, letters and objects connected to the building’s history, while a small subterranean pool can be reserved privately. The Seine, Musee d’Orsay and the galleries of the surrounding quarter are close by. A dramatic circular staircase and domed lightwell connect the hotel’s six floors.
