Lupaia has been assembled from a group of restored farmhouses in the hills between Montepulciano and Pienza, with only a small collection of individually arranged rooms and suites. Rough stone, hand-painted walls, antique furniture and linen fabrics give the interiors a collected character rather than a uniform hotel finish. The panoramic pool follows the slope below the main house, while the restaurant draws herbs and vegetables from the property’s organic garden. Cooking classes and countryside walks extend the experience beyond the dining room. Vineyards, olive groves and the distant outline of Montepulciano remain visible from terraces across the estate.
