Mary Budden Estate lies within the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, surrounded by deodar forest and distant Himalayan peaks. The small collection of lodges and cottages uses timber, stone and fireplaces to create a warm, highly private base within the wilderness. Meals are shared around generous tables and draw on Kumaoni ingredients, while guided forest walks, sunrise hikes and picnics reveal the landscape beyond the estate. There is no conventional resort infrastructure competing with the setting. Verandas face into dense woodland, and clear mornings bring long views towards the snow-covered Nanda Devi range.
