Monument Hotel occupies the Enric Batlló house on Passeig de Gràcia, placing a contemporary hotel within one of Barcelona’s early twentieth-century façades. The rooms and suites use oak, leather and warm stone, with geometric detailing that echoes the building’s restored architecture. Martín Berasategui’s Lasarte and Oria make gastronomy central to the property, while Glasss serves breakfast beneath a glazed ceiling. On the sixth floor, the Verbena terrace surrounds a long mosaic pool with Mediterranean planting, high above the boutiques and Modernista landmarks lining the avenue.
