Morgan’s Rock is set above Playa Ocotal near San Juan del Sur, within a 4,000-acre private estate of protected forest, working farmland and a mile-long Pacific beach. Fifteen bungalows and three two-bedroom villas are distributed along the hillside, with timber decks, canopy beds and forest or ocean views; selected categories add private plunge pools. La Bastide’s open-air dining room uses produce, eggs and meat from the estate’s farm, which supplies much of the kitchen. A pool, spa, guided nature walks, kayaking and horse riding connect the lodge to its surroundings, while the hillside paths descend through the reserve to Playa Ocotal.
