In Málaga’s historic centre, Palacio Solecio restores an 18th-century Andalusian palace on Calle Granada, close to the Picasso Museum and Roman Theatre. The original courtyard has become the architectural heart of the hotel, with white arches, stone columns and galleries rising above Balausta restaurant. Rooms and suites combine parquet floors, tailored upholstery and warm timber with balconies or windows onto the old city; several retain distinctive palace proportions. A rooftop pool and terrace add a contemporary layer above the tiled roofs, while the courtyard’s arcades preserve the scale and rhythm of the original residence.
