Below the village of Moltrasio, Passalacqua descends through terraced gardens from an eighteenth-century villa to the shore of Lake Como. Its individually composed suites are distributed across the main villa, the Palazz and Casa al Lago, layering frescoes, Murano chandeliers, antiques and richly patterned textiles. Meals move between formal rooms, garden terraces and the lakeside, while a spa occupies the former stable block. A rose-edged swimming pool, centuries-old trees and hidden fountains punctuate the grounds, with a private dock and stone steps completing the final approach to the water.
