Inside the 1929 Carbide & Carbon Building on Michigan Avenue, Pendry Chicago preserves one of the city’s most distinctive Art Deco towers. Rooms and suites bring pale contemporary furnishings, brass details and graphic patterns to the building’s historic proportions, with views across the Loop and Chicago River. Venteux combines a French brasserie, café and oyster bar, while Bar Pendry and Château Carbide provide contrasting evening settings. The latter occupies a rooftop terrace beneath the tower’s dark green and gold upper storeys, with Millennium Park and the river immediately beyond the entrance.
