Pikaia Lodge stands on an extinct crater within a private giant-tortoise reserve in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Fourteen contemporary rooms and suites use floor-to-ceiling glass to open onto the Galápagos landscape; terrace, balcony and pool categories add increasingly generous outdoor space. Evolution Restaurant serves Ecuadorian produce in a dining room overlooking the reserve, while the Homo Sapiens lounge, infinity pool and Sumaq Spa provide quieter intervals between excursions. Guided land outings explore Santa Cruz, and day cruises aboard the lodge’s yacht reach wildlife sites on neighbouring islands. Santa Cruz itineraries can also include the Charles Darwin Research Station and Tortuga Bay.
