In the centre of Castelrotto, Schgaguler Hotel frames the Dolomites through large windows, balconies and a sharply contemporary Alpine structure. Peter Pichler’s architecture uses pale concrete, chestnut and local materials to create rooms that feel precise but not austere, with photography and restrained furniture keeping attention on the landscape. The restaurant interprets South Tyrolean ingredients with Italian influence. The spa includes indoor pools, saunas and treatment spaces arranged across the lower floors. Outside, the building’s stepped roofline and deep terraces echo the slopes above the village.
