In Hamburg’s Neustadt district, SIDE occupies a glass-and-steel building whose interior was shaped around light, colour and a soaring central atrium. Rooms are clean-lined and contemporary, using timber, leather and soft neutral fabrics to balance the more dramatic public architecture. Meatery restaurant and its bar provide the principal evening spaces, while the rooftop terrace opens above the surrounding city blocks in warmer weather. A spa with indoor pool, sauna and fitness facilities occupies the upper levels, connected by the illuminated atrium that runs through the centre of the building.
