In Saudi Arabia’s inland desert, Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea stands among dunes with views towards the Hijaz Mountains rather than directly on the coast. Foster and Partners designed the resort around shaded terraces, local stone and forms influenced by Nabataean architecture. The 36 rooms occupy the main building, while 40 villas add private pools. Bariya serves regional and international dishes, Merkaz provides Arabic small plates around the central oasis, and Al Sarab presents contemporary Saudi and Middle Eastern menus. A shared outdoor pool, Six Senses Spa and fitness facilities sit within the complex. Guided desert walks, cycling and cultural activities explore the surrounding landscape and historic incense route.
