In Oslo’s Frogner district, Sommerro occupies the 1930s headquarters of the city’s former electricity company, preserving murals, stonework and Norwegian functionalist details. Rooms and suites layer warm timber, patterned textiles and bespoke furnishings onto the restored building, with designs informed by the interwar period. Ekspedisjonshallen, TAK Oslo and several bars create a lively dining scene, while Vestkantbadet has returned as an underground public bath with a pool, sauna and treatment rooms. A rooftop pool and terrace look across the surrounding streets towards the fjord and central Oslo skyline.
