In Hong Kong's Wong Chuk Hang district, Southside by Ovolo occupies a former warehouse within a neighbourhood shaped by studios, galleries and industrial buildings. Concrete, steel, exposed pipes and foil-clad ducts retain the structure's working character, while bold graphics, graffiti and art bring colour to the public areas. The 160 rooms continue the urban palette with flexible furnishings and large windows. Komune restaurant and its terrace provide the main social space, joined by Above rooftop bar and a gym. Machinery parts at reception and the building's concrete facade keep the hotel's design rooted in its warehouse origins.
