On the wooded shores of Lugu Lake, The ArcadiaPlace is set within the high-altitude landscape shared by Yunnan and Sichuan. Rooms use timber, stone and local craft, with large windows and terraces turning towards the lake and surrounding mountains; the restaurant draws on regional produce and the culinary traditions of nearby communities, while lounges and outdoor decks provide quieter places to take in the water. Low buildings, planted courtyards and pathways follow the natural contours of the site, keeping the lake’s changing light and forested ridges consistently present.
