The Brecon brings a distinctly modern mood to a 1914 building in Adelboden, pairing its original proportions with interiors influenced by mid-century, Scandinavian and Japanese design. Warm timber, tactile fabrics and sculptural furniture give the bedrooms and shared spaces a residential feel, while large windows frame the Bernese Oberland outside. Rather than separating meals into a formal restaurant, dining and drinks centre on the Living Room and form part of the rhythm of the stay. A heated outdoor pool faces the mountains, with spa and sauna spaces indoors. Historic structure and contemporary furnishings are deliberately allowed to sit alongside one another rather than turning the property into a traditional chalet-style hotel.
