At the edge of Old Town Chinatown, The Hoxton, Portland brings new life to a historic building framed by exposed brick, raw concrete and original timber beams. Its 119 rooms are compact but carefully layered, with walnut panelling, mid-century furniture, local ceramics and artwork selected with a Portland gallery. Tope serves Mexican-inspired food on the rooftop, Deadstock Coffee operates from the lobby, and the basement space 2NW5 offers a darker setting for private gatherings. The open ground floor looks directly towards the neighbourhood’s ornate Chinatown Gateway.
