The Shelborne By Proper brings renewed clarity to one of Miami Beach’s oceanfront Art Deco landmarks, preserving the building’s scale and glamour without turning it into a period piece. ADC Atelier uses pale timber, tactile fabrics and rounded forms across 251 rooms, suites and villas, many oriented towards the Atlantic. The restored pool deck retains its distinctive 1950s diving board and runs directly into cabanas and beach access, while Abram Bissell’s dining programme moves from relaxed daytime rooms to more polished evening settings within the historic shell.
