Facing the Gateway of India, The Taj Mahal Palace has anchored Mumbai’s harbour since 1903, its red dome and Indo-Saracenic facade forming part of the waterfront’s identity. The original Palace Wing retains vaulted corridors, carved wood, period furniture and a substantial art collection, while the adjoining Tower brings a later modernist counterpoint. Wasabi by Morimoto, Golden Dragon, Sea Lounge and Harbour Bar give the hotel several distinct dining rooms, complemented by J Wellness Circle and the palm-lined courtyard pool. Arches and balconies continue around the inner court beneath the central dome.
