On Hobart’s Parliament Square, The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart links an 1840s Georgian building, an Art Deco wing and a contemporary waterfront pavilion. Its 152 rooms and suites reflect those three periods, with restored fireplaces or vaulted doors in selected heritage categories and floor to ceiling glass in the pavilion. Peppina serves Italian cooking shaped by Tasmanian produce, while Mary Mary occupies the former hospital outbuilding and Deco Lounge provides drinks and lighter dishes. A fitness centre and bicycle hire support active days, but no swimming pool is listed. Salamanca Place, Constitution Dock and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery are all accessible on foot.
