A reworked 1960s motor lodge beside the Hoosic River gives Tourists in North Adams a deliberately simple architectural framework. The 48 rooms use plywood, pale timber, broad windows and uncluttered furnishings, keeping the Berkshire woods and river close to the interiors rather than relying on decorative hotel styling. Outside, trails cross the property and a suspension bridge links different parts of the grounds, alongside a heated saltwater pool. Airport Rooms provides the main restaurant and bar, with additional gathering spaces distributed through the lodge. Forest, riverbank and low motel-style buildings remain visible from much of the property.
