In Ljubljana's old town, Vander Urbani Resort joins four Baroque houses close to the Ljubljanica River behind a contemporary interior by Sadar+Vuga. Concrete, glass and steel are shaped into curves and angled planes, creating a deliberate contrast with the historic facades outside. Rooms are compact and airy, with pale surfaces, bespoke furniture and carefully framed city views. The rooftop terrace holds a small swimming pool above the tiled roofs, while a Champagne bar, restaurant and café animate the lower floors. Massage and yoga are available within the hotel, but its strongest spatial moment remains the rooftop line above the river quarter.
