In Asheville’s South Slope district, Zelda Dearest occupies three neighbouring historic houses reimagined around the style and literary world of Zelda Fitzgerald. Rooms use saturated colour, patterned wallpaper, velvet and Art Deco references, with each building retaining its own staircases, porches and domestic proportions. The bar and lounge bring the houses together through cocktails, music and richly layered interiors. Outside, white façades, dark shutters and landscaped paths preserve the character of the original residences within walking distance of downtown Asheville’s galleries, restaurants and breweries.
