La Dolce Vita Orient Express approaches Italy through the visual language of the 1960s and 1970s rather than the Belle Époque. From Rome, its programme includes day journeys and itineraries of one to four nights, reaching destinations across mainland Italy, Sicily and, on selected dates, Istanbul. The train has 31 cabins across three categories, together with a restaurant and bar lounge; Heinz Beck oversees the culinary programme.

Italian design from cabin to dining car
Dimorestudio’s interiors combine lacquer, patterned textiles and warm timber. Deluxe Cabins use a sofa that converts into a double bed, while Suites retain a fixed bed and separate seating area; both have private bathrooms. The La Dolce Vita Suite provides the largest accommodation. Dining by Heinz Beck is served in the restaurant car, with the lounge used for aperitivo, music and evenings aboard.
THE JOURNEYS
A collection of journeys across Italy
There is no single defining route. Departures may link Rome with Venice, Portofino, the Tuscan coast, Matera or Sicily, while selected international journeys continue to Istanbul. Some return to Rome and others finish in a different city. The number of nights, direction and amount of time spent away from the train vary enough that each itinerary should be considered separately.
