Four journeys through northern and western India
Maharajas’ Express operates four set itineraries, from a three-night Golden Triangle circuit to six-night journeys extending across Rajasthan, central India and the Ganges. The train has four en-suite accommodation categories, two restaurant cars, a bar and an observation lounge. Much of each day is spent away from the train on guided visits, so the value of each departure lies as much in its sightseeing programme as in the cabins aboard.

Private cabins between full days of sightseeing
Deluxe Cabins, Junior Suites, Suites and the Presidential Suite all include private bathrooms and butler service, with progressively more space. Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal serve Indian and international menus; the Safari Bar and Rajah Club provide additional shared space. Early arrivals and full days of guided visits are common, with the train functioning as a consistent base as the destination changes.
THE JOURNEYS
Four itineraries, not one fixed circuit
Treasures of India covers Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur over three nights. Indian Panorama, Indian Splendour and Heritage of India add different combinations of Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Khajuraho, Varanasi and Mumbai. They are not variations of the same route: direction, duration and the places visited differ enough that the itinerary should be chosen before the cabin.
